Digital Democracy is a Sydney based digital communications consultancy by Jenni Beattie.
Jenni is a senior communications strategist who has worked across advertising, public relations, market research and media. She has worked for companies such as News Ltd, CARMA International, McCann Erickson Advertising, Cancer Council NSW, Media Monitors, The Digital Edge and Network PR.

With over 20 years industry experience Jenni has been immersed in digital communications working on social media strategies for organisations since 2006 starting with Paramount Pictures.

She brings a unique perspective that encompasses a solid understanding of the traditional media combined with social media and SEO expertise driven by consumer research.

With an understanding that Visibility (SEO – ie. being found on Google) and Engagement (how people are engaging with your brand) are essentials in a Social Media Strategy Jenni can assist you with both of these fundamental areas.


Development of Social Media strategies and Social Media training with companies such as PEDIGREE, Tourabout, iNova Pharmaceuticals, Themhs, MLA, CelebrityThread and others. Jenni has also trained pr companies such as Klick Communications how to integrate pr into their business.
Developed and managed Online Research Communities for Kelloggs, Sara Lee, Weight Watchers, CBA, Kimberley-Clark and others.

She also has a passion for the health sector andwrites a regular column for the RACGP newsletter ‘Good Practice’ on Health and Web 2.0 as well as being an editorial manager for Australian Health Review (on web 2.0/health topics).
In her spare time! Jenni teaches Rethinking Media at UTS (Masters Comm Course) and is a Brand Navigator member
